Makeup

There are certainly inspirations that we use in todays makeup but the most influential had to be the Mod Look. The mod look was comprised of thick eyelashes, eye liner, layered eye shadow, and a nude lip. To the right famous model and fashion icon Twiggy rocking the mod look.

Shoes!

Shoes! In the 1960's colorful shoes and stockings complimented the mini-skirts. Patent shoes came to be popular in every color imaginable along with a chuncky heel to complete the shoe.

The Barbie Doll

Although the Barbie doll was introduced by Mattell in 1959, it contributed to the Fashion of the 60's. The Barbie doll shined through its various fashion choices that made it a household name in the 1960's. The choice of fashion depended on the current trend involved that year. The dolls influence became apparent when millions of girls desired to become like the barbie doll with her fashion trends and perfect looks.
